Eugene Farless



Eugene Farless, 50, died Monday, April 25, 2011 at Stones River Hospital E/R following a sudden illness.

Born in Camp Lejeune, NC, he was a Tree Topper.  He loved to fish, turtle hunt, watch Nascar and Tennessee football.  He also liked to play horseshoes.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Diane Howell Farless of Woodbury; mother, Avanell Campbell Cobb of Woodbury and stepfather, Bobby T. Cobb of Woodbury; father, Willie Farless of Columbia; daughter:, Regina Farless of Woodbury; three stepchildren, Ricky and Steffen Blair, both of Woodbury, and Desiree Greer of SC; three sisters, Darlene Hammon of Nashville, Leann Rogers and Nellie Stone, both of Woodbury; brothers, Bobby Joe and Herbert Cobb both of Woodbury; half brother, Greg Farless of GA and half sister, Cassandra Farless of Lawrenceburg.

15 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Alberta Campbell and Chester and Anita Farless and by his sister, Shelby Jean Farless.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011 with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Reed Cemetery.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 9 pm Friday, April 29, 2011.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodbury Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Pallbearers will be Stephen and Willie Brown, Clifton Murphy, Buddy Alan Davis, Herbert and Bobby Joe Cobb, Travis Davis, John Womack, Dewayne Burnett, Jason Davis, Thomas Stone, Alan Campbell.
