Estes named Cannon County Employee of the Year

James Estes, center, was named Cannon County's Employee of the Year at the Cannon County Commission meeting on Sept. 7. Estes started his employment with Cannon County in 2006 as a part-time custodian. Estes took over full-time when Johnny Womack retired. He is known for his work ethic and makes sure everything is operating properly. Estes loves his job and everyone he comes in contact with. He has a heart of gold and is loved by everyone who works at the courthouse. Making the presentation were Christine Barrett, left, and Bobby Bogart with Hilton Stone American Legion Post 279.
