Enjoying Farmers Market

Above, Between customers at the Cannon County Farmers Market, Roy “Lynn” Parsley relaxes in the shade under the tarp at the back of his pick-up truck where he sells a wide variety of veggies to customers hungry for fresh pickings. Buying a bushel box of beans from Parsley, Carol Bogen of Woodbury told him, “I thank you for your hard work. They’ll be good this winter.”

Front, From left, selling veggies at the Cannon County Farmers Market is an Underwood family affair, as Harold Underwood’s tailgate provides a resting place for family members who are “just giving me some support,” Underwood quips. From left are his grandson Kyle Klingler, Underwood himself, 3-year-old granddaughter Kinlee Underwood and son Tim. The Underwoods’ goods include a wide variety of peppers: some mild and some not-so, such as fiery jalapenos and almost-as-fiery serranos.
