Eight Defendants Enter Guilty Pleas In General Sessions Court

A majority of the defendants on the docket for the Cannon County Generals Sessions Court of Judge Susan Melton Tuesday had their cases continued until a later date.

However, eight defendants did entered guilty pleas to all or some of the charges they were facing:

Robyn Alesha Wilmoth: pled guilty to a charge of DUI. She was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail, partially suspended. She must serve 48 hours in jail, pay a $350 fine, and court costs. Her license was suspended for one year and she must attend safe driving school. Wilmoth also pled guilty to two charges of driving on a suspended license and was sentenced to six months in jail on each count. Those sentences were suspended and she was placed on probation for six months on each count, plus $50 a fine and court costs. She also pled guilty to violation of probation. Her probation was revoked and she was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail. She was placed back on probation for 10 months, 29 days and ordered to pay court costs. Charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of the implied consent law were dismissed without cost.

Roger E. Bogle: pled guilty to a charge of DUI 1st offense. He was sentenced to 11 month, 29 in the Cannon County Jail. That sentence was partially suspended. He was sentenced to serve 48 hours in jail and given credit for four hours served. He was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days and ordered to pay a $350 and court costs. His license was suspended for one year. Another charged of possession of Schedule III drugs was dismissed without cost.

Carl Eugene George: originally charged with DUI, he pled guilty to a reduced charge of reckless driving. He was given a six month suspended sentence and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was ordered to pay a $350 fine and court costs and must attend safe driving school.

Dustin Matthew Mayo: entered a conditional plea to a charge of possession of Schedule III drugs under judicial diversion. He was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days and fined $750.

Summer Faye Williams: pled guilty to a charge of violation of probation. Her probation was revoked and she was ordered to serve 50 days in jail. She was also placed back on probation for nine months, nine days and ordered to pay court costs and fines.

Stepanie Langston: pled guilty to two charges of passing worthless checks. She was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail on each count. One of those sentenced was partially suspended and she was ordered to serve seven days in jail. She was given credit for seven days time served. She was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days on each charge, to run concurrent. She must pay court costs and restitution.

Robert Blake Foster: pled guilty to a charge of driving on a suspended license, 1st offense. He was given a 30-day suspended sentence, placed on probation for 30 days, and ordered to pay a fine and court costs.

Daniel E. Hazel: pled guilty to driving on a revoked license, 11th offense. He was sentenced to serve 11 months, 29 days in the county jail and must serve his entire sentence. He was fined $50 and assessed court costs.

In other cases Tuesday:

Janet K. Brown was in court on a motion to waive or reduce costs. Judge Melton extended her probation for six months, extended the time she had to pay probation services, and reduced her costs to $520, which she must pay within six months.

Jeremy Lynn Tenpenny: continued until Feb. 15 charges of felony evading arrest, driving on a suspended license, two counts.

Marcus Edward Tenpenny: continued until Feb. 15 charges of felony evading arrest, reckless driving, no driver's license (three counts), violation of the registration and financial responsibility laws.

Jeremy Dennis Barnes: continued until April 12 charges of driving on a suspended license.

Larry Ricky Blair, Jr.: continued until Feb. 15 charges of possession of Schedule III drugs, possession of Schedule IV drugs, possession of Legend drug.

Scotty Wayne Bowman: continued until March 22 a charge of leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He was appointed an attorney.

Jason M. Brown: charged with initiation of methamphetamine manufacture, he had his case bound over to the May term of the Cannon County Grand Jury.

Rebecca Paige Bynum: continued until April 12 a charge of no driver's license.

Sheryl Christensen: continued until Feb. 15 charges of possession of Schedule III drugs, possession of Legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of probation 2nd offense, eight counts.

Dennis Ray Curtis: continued until March 22 charges of DUI 1st offense, violation of the implied consent law, simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding (70/55).

Jennifer C. Hernandez: continued until April 12 a charge of driving on a revoked license, 1st offense.

Chadwick Dwayne Herrod: charged with driving on a suspended license, 6th offense, failed to appear in court. A capias was issued.

Misty Michelle Hollars: continued until April 12 charges of violation of probation 2nd offense, two counts.

Michael Gene Jones: continued until Feb. 15 a charge of aggravated domestic assault.

Christopher Lane Lance: charged with driving on a revoked license, violation of the insurance law, speeding (71/45), failed to appear. A capias was issued.

Angela M. Mathis: continued until Feb. 15 charges of filing a false report and harassment. She was appointed a public defender.

Charles Samuel Patterson: continued until Feb. 15 a charge of aggravated burglary. He was appointed a public defender.

Mickie K. Patterson: continued until Feb. 15 a charge of aggravated burglary. She was appointed a public defender.

Jeremy Pitts: continued until Feb. 15 a charge of aggravated burglary.

Billy Ray Tidwell: continued until Feb. 15 a charge of aggravated burglary. He was appointed a public defender.

Cody Lee Rumsey: failed to appear on a charge of driving on a revoked license. A capias was issued.

Kayla Rena Sanders: continued until Feb. 22 a charge of DUI.

Catherine Marie Sherrell: continued until March 1 charges of simple possession of Schedule III drugs, simple possession of Schedule VI drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deborah Elaine Smithson: failed to appear on a charge of violation of probation, 1st offense. A capias was issued.

Cynthia Denise Thomas: continued until Jan. 25 a charge of theft under $500.
