Edward W. Smithson

Mr. Edward W. Smithson, 70, of Auburntown died April 17, 2011. He was born August 20, 1940 in Wilson County, TN. His parents were the late Joe B. Smithson and Mai (Keaton) Smithson. He is preceded in death by his son, Ricky Smithson; a brother, Lynn Smithson and two sisters, Mattie Lee Hughes and Oleta Hughes Thompson.

He is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Shirley Smithson of Auburntown; a brother, Willie B. Smithson of Murfreesboro; sister and brothers-in-law, Eldra & Buddy Alexander of Woodbury, Linda & Jimmy Johnson of Woodbury.

Mr. Smithson was a member of the Jesus Is Lord Baptist Church. He was a long time employee of Samsonite and Hennessy. He enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting and camping.

Visitataion will be Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 4-8 PM at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2 PM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Bro.
