Edward Davenport



Services for Edward Davenport, 84, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Richardson and Bro. Howard Knox Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Reed Cemetery.

 Visitation is from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 at Woodbury Funeral Home.

 Mr. Davenport was a member of New Hope Church of Christ, a telephone cable contractor and aCannonCountyroad commissioner. He died Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

 Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Eva Hutchins Davenport of Woodbury; children, Bobby Jerome (Judith) Davenport of Waynesboro, Mark Edward (Becky) Davenport of Lebanon, Roger Boyd (Sharon) Davenport of Mt. Juliet and Frances Elane Davenport ofMurfreesboro; a sister, Charlotte Buntin ofOaklawn,IL; grandchildren, Bobby Davenport Jr., Staci Williams, Jeremiah Woehler, Shannon Wright, Nicole Ford, Erica Mentzer, Matthew Pridemore and Diana Golden; 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; 1 niece and 3 nephews.

 Ed loved his family and loved to work. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting with his children and grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie “Bunkin” and Ina Alexander Davenport and two sisters, Irene Davenport and Ruby Cook.

 Pallbearers are Jeremiah Woehler, Bobby Davenport Jr., B.J. Carrick, Blake Williams, Colton Davenport and Steve Woehler.

 Honorary pallbearers are Gail Reed, James Maxwell, Ike Parker, Richard Burks, Gene Mason and Dee Barrett.
