Mr. Earl Edward Herman, 76, of Woodbury passed away on Dec. 2, 2014. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 5, 1938. His parents were the late Edward Herman and Edith (Prater) Herman.

He is survived by his son, Ken & Amy Herman of Cleveland, OH; a brother, Paul Herman of Mayfield, OH; three grandsons, Tyler, Gavin and Everett Herman; special cousin, Roger & Sharon Hindman of Woodbury and special friend, Dorothy Key of Woodbury.

Mr. Herman was born in Cleveland and graduated from West Tech High School. He went on to join the U. S. Coast Guard and served for several years. While in Cleveland he managed a convenience store and worked at Lutheran Hospital as a security guard. He had family from Woodbury and would spend time here through the years. In 2000 he decided to move to Woodbury. He soon found a his church home at Plainview Baptist Church. One of his favorite things was to spend time with his church family and friends. He loved to share stories with them and residents of the Holiday House where he lived. He loved to study the Bible. He also read a lot to keep up with current events.

Visitation will be held at Plainview Baptist Church on Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 1-2 PM. Memorial services will follow at the church at 2 PM . Johnathan Womack will officiate.
