Drug, multiple charges
A disturbance call involving four-wheelers on Jim Cummings Highway resulted in multiple arrests on March 15.
Deputies Michael Hainey and Josh Thomas were dispatched to the call where they spotted a red Nissan truck and two four-wheelers with several individuals surrounding them. Four of them were adults and four were juveniles.
Deputy Thomas was approaching the individuals when they noticed him and turned and started walking away from the Nissan truck. When Thomas ordered them to stop all of them did except an older male and a young female who continued to walk to a nearby house.
"Around the corner of the home I smelled a very strong scent of marijuana and was met by an older woman and I told her to go inside and tell the subjects that just entered the home to come outside," Thomas reported.
Charged were Jason Lynn Mitchell, Jered Brewer, Tyler Stembridge and Judy Brewer.
Stembridge was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, Ms. Brewer was charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jared Brewer was charged with simple possession of marijuana.
Jason Mitchell was charged with simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and resisting stop, frisk and halt.


Drug charges
Sgt. Tommy Miller was on patrol when he spotted a vehicle traveling 81 mph in a 55 mph speed zone on John Bragg Highway. Olivia Smith and Carl Toombs were arrested following a search by Woodbury Police Patrolman Brown.
Smith was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a Schedule II drug and issued a citation for speeding and financial responsibility. Toombs was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a Schedule II drug.


Driving on a revoked license
Pete Snyder was pulled over for speeding (76 mph in a 55 mph zone) on Jim Cummings Highway. He was charged with driving on a revoked license, second offense, speeding and financial responsibility.

DUI, multiple charges
Terry Christopher Vassar was charged with speeding, financial responsibility, DUI, unlawful possession of a weapon and with false report following a stop by Deputy Joshua Thomas.

Driving on a revoked license
Terri Ortkiese was charged with driving on a revoked license following a traffic stop.


Fugitive from Justice
Following a non-injury auto accident on Gassaway Road, Jesse Leon Hough was arrested on warrants issued by Pickens County, Ga.


Domestic Dispute
Robert Blake Foster was arrested by Sgt. Tommy Miller and Deputy Paul Reid for domestic assault, vandalism under $500, aggravated criminal assault and driving on a suspended license following an incident on Tower's Lane.


Car pulled over
Michael James was pulled over for driving with only one head light. A check revealed that James was driving on a suspended license.

Stephanie A. Langston was issued a violation of probation on passing worthless check charges.

Lawrence Feragola was served with a violation of probation on driving with a suspended license charge.

Terry Brian Tramel was charged with a violation of order of consent agreement.

Dustin Lee Reed was served with a violation of probation warrant.

Devin Elizabeth Kelch was served with a violation of probation warrant.

John D. Nunley was served with a capias warrant.

Jamie Lynn Jones was charged with violation of probation.

Anthony R. Goff was served a capias warrant.

Michael W. James was served a violation of probation on driving without a license charges.

Jeffery N. Alexander was charged with passing a worthless check.

Travis Payne Pinkerton was charged with a violation of probation for theft of property.

Randy S. Thacker was served with a violation of probation for assault.

Benito Melendez-Rodriquez was charged with a violation of probation for possession of marijuana.

Larry A. Hale Jr. was served with a violation of probation on aggravated criminal trespass, theft and simple assault.

James Elbert Richard Nelson was charged with passing two worthless checks.

Jessica Nicole Walls was charged with a violation of probation.

Michael John Edwards was served with a capias warrant.

Jenny Jeane Jones was charged with phone harassment.

Arrests
David Winters was charged with possession of a legend drug, Methocorbomol, and with public intoxication by Patrolman Christopher Brown. A hearing is set for April 8 in General Sessions Court.

James Wayne Mills was charged with simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman Sebastian Krauss. A hearing is set for April 8 in General Sessions Court.

Jennifer Faye Taylor was arrested on multiple charges by Assistant Chief Lowell Womack. She was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and with possession of a 9-mm Browning handgun. A hearing is set for April 8 in General Sessions Court.

Cecil Wayne Allen Jr. was charged with driving on a suspended license by Patrolman John House. A hearing is set for April 8 in General Sessions Court.

Mikala M. Greer was charged with driving without a license by Patrolman Sebastian Krauss. A hearing is set for April 8 in General Sessions Court.

Joe D. Barrett was charged with driving on a revoked license by Patrolman John House. A hearing is set for April 8 in General Sessions Court.

Steve Carter Pope Jr. was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia by Patrolman John House. A hearing is set for April 8 in General Sessions Court.

Raymond Dale Duke was charged with a violation of the open container law, DUI and possession of a .22-magnum pistol by Patrolman Sebastian Krauss. A hearing is set for Sept. 16 in General Sessions Court.

Harold Martin Foster was charged with DUI second offense by Assistant Chief Lowell Womack. A hearing is set for April 8 in General Sessions Court..

Dustin L. Nichols was charged with possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, Loratabs, by Patrolman Sebastian Krauss. A hearing is set for May 13 in General Sessions Court.
