McCormick arrived and saw that the left front door was shattered and a large piece of glass was broken out in the bottom of the door.

The deputy checked all the doors for the market and determined that they were still locked. A check of the surveillance camera showed that the window shattered at 12:58 a.m. Entry was not made to the building and it appeared the window was shot out with a BB gun.

Officers McCormick and Smith arrived at the house to investigate.

“I got out of my patrol vehicle and saw Issac Markum was on the porch and came running down the driveway. Mr. Markum became irate and told me that I didn’t have a reason to be on his property and had no right to be there without a warrant,” Smith said.
