Dennis Roger Whitlock

Dennis Roger Whitlock, 81, Friday, January 8, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Christiansburg, VA.

He is survived by his daughter, Denise Whitlock Duke of Bradyville; Grandchildren, Konner & Kolby Duke of Bradyville; Sisters, Nellie Jo & Fred St. Clair of Morristown, TN. and Mary Alice & Leonard Firebaugh of Roane, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Ralph Whitlock and Blake Hall Whitlock; his wife, Janet Whitlock and his sister, Evelyn Sisson.

Mr. Whitlock owned a screen enclosure company for 28 years in Florida, drove a bus in Cannon Co. for over 20 years and also owned Hwy 53 Market. A member of the Methodist church, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday, January 10, 2016 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Mitchell and Bro. John Sadler officiating. Interment will follow at Midway Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm until 8 pm Saturday, January 9, 2016 and Sunday from 11 am until time of services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Mooretown Fire Dept.
