The deadline for becoming a charter member of the new "Sons of the American Legion" organization is Aug. 16.

Membership eligibility: All male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of the American Legion and such male descendants of Veterans who died in service during World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, and Persian Gulf, during the delimiting period set forth in Article IV, Section 1, of the National Constitution of the American Legion; or who died subsequent to their honorable discharge from such service, shall be eligible for membership in the "Sons of the American Legion."

The Squadron will have their own separate organization, emblem and uniform. The Squadron has a 5-Point Program; Patriotism, Citizenship, Discipline, Leadership, and Legionism.  This is a great way to carry on that family tradition of honorable service to your country and to your community.

Make your Dad or Granddad proud. The dues are $25,00 annually. The first year's dues stay with the Squadron to help get things going. So the more Charter Members we get the more money the Squadron gets to keep for start up expenses. If you are interested in becoming a charter member of this elite Squadron call: Bobby Ferrell 478-8593; Jim Stone 563-6111; Britt Knox 904-5644; Bob Stoetzel 563-8191, for more information.
