Employees from ClaimTrust of Murfreesboro worked at the Cannon County Senior Center Friday as part of the United Way Day of Action.

The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties hosted its eighth annual Day of Action on Friday.

More than 250 volunteers have registered for this year’s Day of Action and completed service projects for 19 local agencies and schools between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Local, ClaimTrust of Murfreesboro cleaned and organized a storage building and trailer at the Cannon County Senior Center.

Seven ClaimTrust employees participated in the Day of Action at the Senior Center: Marilyn Bryant, Jeff Bailey, Michelle Flynn, Jim Foley, Dustin Wuest, Christiana Youngblood and Anne Edwards.

"We are doing this because we wanted to get involved and give back to the community," Bryant said.
