Danny William Gaither

Danny William Gaither, 51, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family Wednesday, April 22, 2015. He was a native of Cannon Co. and lived in Auburntown.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ann Cooper Gaither of Auburntown; Father: Sam Gaither of Murfreesboro; daughters: Regina (Bill) Cairo of Murfreesboro, Marissa Gilley of Auburntown and Kandice (Sam) Dollar of Woodbury; Grandchildren: Alexia, Devin & Braylon Cairo; Tyler Gilley, Cade & Cristyn Emberton, Layla O'Sullivan , Matthew, Madalyn and Kariann Sullivan, & Ayden Dollar;Siblings, Donna (Steve) Fuqua & Donnie (Deb) Gaither both of Woodbury. He also has his first great grandbaby on the way. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Robbie Neely Gaither.

A member of the Baptist church, Danny was a Detention Deputy with Rutherford Co. Sherriff's Dept. where he served as Sgt. He loved to play drums, go fishing with friends and had a passion for photography. His family and friends he treasured most.

Funeral Services will be 2 pm Saturday, April 25, 2015 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Burnett. Interment will follow in the Odom Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brian Layhew, Shaun Matthews, Kyle Rigsby, Aaron Scicolone, Bubba Josey, Brian Elrod. Visitation with the family will be after 4 pm Saturday, April 24 at Woodbury Funeral Home.
