Danny Ray Ferrell, 53, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011 at his home following an extended illness.

A native of Cannon County, he lived in Woodbury.

Survivors include his son, Coty Ferrell and his fiancée Tiffany Tramel of Woodbury; fiancée, Pam Fitzgerald of Woodbury; brother, David Ferrell of Woodbury; sisters, Eunice Byford and Jean Dyer both of Woodbury; Lisa Merriman, Linda Ferrell, Janet King and Shirley Dyer all of Smithville; grandson, Brody Ferrell of Woodbury.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Brown Ferrell and Sudie Nadine Ferrell; brother, Charlie Ferrell and sister, Jo Dean Ferrell.

A member of the Gospel of Faith Church and Cannon Co. Walking Horse Assoc., he worked at the Cannon Co. Hwy. Dept.

Funeral services will be in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5 with Bro. Leonard Herman officating. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4.

Burial will be Sugar Tree Knob Cemetery.
