Danny Joe Burger

Danny Joe Burger, 56, died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital following a short illness.

A native of Cannon County, he resided in McMinnville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Carson Burger and Shirley Ann Mayo Burger and sister, Katherine Burger

Survivors include:

His wife, Jo Ann Byford Burger of McMinnville.

Daughter:  Sharon Burger of Murfreesboro.

Stepson: Josh and Brooke Smith of Woodbury.

Stepdaughter: Stacie Smith of Woodbury.

Grandchildren: Jared Towe, Brady and Raena Smith.

Sisters: Treva Wilson of McMinnville, Tammy and Ricky Newby of Morrison, Lisa Burger of McMinnville.

Father-in-law: Willie O. Byford of Morrison.

Brother-in-law: Jeff Byford of Morrison.

Sister-in-law: Tammy and Johnny Bogard of Morrison

He was a member of the Centerhill Baptist and was a Logger & Chairmaker.

Funeral services will be in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 with  Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in  Centerhill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 from 1 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
