Dance studio offers 'new you' classes

Did you make a New Years resolution to be healthier and exercise more? If so, Cannon Arts Dance Studio has local classes designed to help you reach your goals!

Certified instructor Ashley Wilson Hardage offers busy adults a way to stretch and unwind with her Breathe to the Beat Yoga program Monday nights from 6:30-7:30 PM. For Ashley,daughter of Mitch and Mary Wilson, teaching at Cannon Arts is like coming home, because she studied dance here while growing up in Woodbury.To reach her , book class at Facebook. Amber Phillips is wanting you to meet her At The Corner Barre - Ballet Barre that is. Amber took over the Barre exercise program from Julie Powers late last year and is conducting a "no holds barred program" that is strenuous and demanding. Classes are held mornings Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays at 5 am. Evening classes are Mondays at 7:35 pm and Thursdays at 8:15 pm. Classes can be booked on Facebook.com at Barre on the Corner. Booking ahead is preferred , but drop-ins are welcome .

If you've always wanted to trip the light fantastic , then adult tap may be for you. Cannon Dance is fortunate to have Rachel Vassar who currently splits her teaching duties between Cannon Arts and Vanderbilt University. Adult tap is 4- 5PM Thursdays for those wishing to shuffle away the calories.Online enrollment is available at cannonartsdance.com or in person at the studio.
