Courthouse Work Blocks West Water Street Traffic

The revitalization work being done around the Cannon County Courthouse will take a toll on traffic around the downtown area today.

Through traffic along West Water Street will be interrupted as crews dig a trench for new electric and phone lines to the courthouse in front of the Cannon Courier office.

While the work is being done, drivers will not be able to travel east or west on West Water without detouring.

Both of the two main businesses in the area of the work, Regions Bank and the Courier, will remain open for business today.
