Courthouse Square Revitalization Nearly Complete

Work on Cannon County Courthouse Square Revitalization Project is nearing completion with only final paving on two streets and “other minor details” to be concluded before the mission is complete, according to project manager Terry Preston of Preston Brothers Construction Company.

Tatum and Cannon Streets will be closed Wednesday (June 30) and Thursday (July 1) for final paving at which point the bulk of the project will be completed.

“We want to get all of that done, weather permitting, and then everything is in place for the Fourth of July weekend,” Preston said. “We want to have this done for the businesses so people can utilize the entire square during this busy time.”
