Cooper Receives Jail Time For Evading Arrest, DORL



Judge Susan Melton presided over Cannon County General Sessions Court on Tuesday. Some of the results from the various cases which appeared on the docket included:
 
Ricky C. Cooper pled guilty to the charge of evading arrest. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail and ordered to serve his entire sentence.  In another case, Cooper pled guilty to the charge of driving on revoked 4th offense.  He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail and ordered to serve his entire sentence.
 
Michael L. Foster pled guilty to the charge of leaving the scene of an accident. He was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying the court costs and paying restitution.  In another case, Foster pled guilty to the charge of driving without a license.  He was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail.  That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation and paying the court costs.
 
Mark A. Pless pled guilty to the charge of driving on a suspended license.  He was sentenced to 6 months in the county jail. That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $50.00 fine and paying the court costs.
 
Michael Chad Owens pled guilty to the charge of theft under $500.00.  He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail.  That sentence was partially suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, serving 46 days in jail, paying the court costs and paying restitution.
 
William Drake pled guilty to the charge of driving while license suspended.  That sentence was partially suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, serving 2 days in jail, paying a $50.00 fine and paying the court costs.  In another case, Drake pled guilty to the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.  He was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail.  That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time of probation, paying restitution and paying the court costs.
 
Myra Adams pled guilty to the charge of passing a worthless check.  She was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail.  That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying the court costs and paying the checks and service charges.
 
Justin Kirt Davis pled guilty to the charge of driving without a license.  He was sentenced to 30 days in the county jail.  That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying a $2.00 fine and paying the court costs.
 
Natalie M. Jones pled guilty to the charge of reckless endangerment.  She was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail.  That sentence was partially suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, serving 48 hours in jail, paying a $500.00 fine and paying the court costs.
 
Raine Marie Patterson pled guilty to the charge of shoplifting.  She was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in the county jail.  That sentence was suspended upon an equal amount of time on probation, paying the court costs and paying restitution.
 
Those cases listed on the docket but not listed above were either dismissed, continued for another date or retired.
