Chamber Of Commerce Banquet Brings In New Year, Officers, And Board

Incoming and outgoing board members and officers.
The Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet was held Thursday evening at the Senior Citizens' Center. Outgoing board members and officers were recognized for their service while new ones were introduced.

Attendees enjoyed a delicious meal of Elaine Broussard's gumbo followed by chicken and vegetables form Joe's Place.

County Executive Mike Gannon reported on the status of the Courthouse Revitalization Project, which aims to be done in plenty of time for May's Good Ole Days Festival.

Outgoing Chamber President Doug Combs gave a great year in review and advised everyone to stay positive, joking that he must be especially positive as he runs an AM radio station in back of a graveyard.

Incoming Chamber President Travis Hancock then addressed the room and said he hoped Cannon County would continue in its progressive direction.

The evening closed with the awarding of door prizes.
