Six members of the Cannon County High School Cross Country team competed in the Yellow Ribbon 5K at the Nashville Super Speedway Friday night, July 8.

The race benefited Tennessee National Guard Combat Casualty Relief Fund. Runners included Dakota Grandstaff, Will Bailey, Jordan Turney, Lauren Turney, Hannah Faulkner and Brian Elrod.

Hannah Faulkner placed second in her age group, Jordan Turney placed third in his age group and Brian Elrod placed second overall.
