Mr. Carlton M. Blair, 79, of Cannon County died May 25, 2013. He was born in Cannon County on June 29, 1933. His parents were the late John C. Blair and Lizzie (Kirby) Blair. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Miller; a son, Steve Blair; brothers, Howard Blair, Sr., Luther Blair, Henry Blair and Walter Blair and by sisters, Christine Smith and Flora Markum.

Mr. Blair is survived by a son, Bobby Blair of Nashville; brother, Tom & Virginia Blair of Nashville; sister, Meda Carr of Cannon County; grandson, Jeremy & Stephanie Miller of McMinnville; great grandchildren, Allie and Keaton Miller.

Mr. Blair was a member of the Baptist Church. He was retired from Magnatech in McMinnville. He also drove a school bus for Cannon County for many years. He enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. He liked to collect spoons and coal oil lamps.

Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 12-2 PM. Memorial services will follow in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Jerry Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Center Hill Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
