Carl Witty, 75, of Murfreesboro passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Witty was born in Cannon County, TN to the late Dibrell and Ruby Witty. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Florence Church of Christ.

Mr. Witty was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Witty of Murfreesboro; sons, Carey Witty, Mike Bush both of Nashville, Mark Bush of Murfreesboro; daughter, Carla Lane of Knoxville; 9 grandchildren; sister, Lois Larimer of Woodbury; sisters in law, Sandra Lancin of Jackson, Rachel Hayes of Murfreesboro; brothers in law, Larry Lancin of Jackson, Maurice Burger of McMinnville; special friends, W.T. Bibb of Arkansas, Jack Engle of Indiana, Norman Akin of Kentucky, Dave Lawson of Florida and Hal Larimer of Woodbury.

Visitation with the family are Tuesday, August 10 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral services are Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Pastor Marion West. Burial followed at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
