Carl Edward “Eddie” Jennings



Carl Edward “Eddie” Jennings,  age 58, of Estill Springs, departed this life on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, following an extended illness.  Mr. Jennings was born in Rutherford County, Tenn. to the late, Carl Jennings and mother, Irene Jennings of Estill Springs.  Mr. Jennings was a 1971 graduate of Franklin County High School.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Estill Springs.  Mr. Jennings was a Volunteer Fireman for Estill Springs Fire Department for almost 25 years and a member of the Estill Springs Lions Club.  Before becoming disabled he was employed for many years at Samsonite as a Fork Lift Operator.

In addition to his mother Mr. Jennings is survived by his sisters; Ann (Bob) Wiseman of Winchester, Reba (Greg) Carleton of Murfreesboro, and Lena Jennings of Estill Springs. A niece, Emily Carleton, nephews; Jon Carleton, Alex and Andrew Wiseman.  Uncles: Austin (Carmine) Jennings of Woodbury and Thelma Owen of Murfreesboro.  Several cousins also survive

Services for Mr. Jennings are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro.  Jim Patton, officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday evening.  Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Woodbury, Tenn.   In lieu of flowers  the family requests donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association, The Kidney Foundation or your local Lions Club.
