Lace up your sneakers and help child abuse victims by participating in the 3rd Annual Cannon Runs for Children 5K Run/Walk on June 8, 2019 at Dillon Park in Woodbury.

Cannon Runs for Children benefits the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center, a non-profit agency that provides crisis intervention services for child abuse victims, child sexual abuse victims, drug endangered children, and their non-offending parents, grandparents, and family members.

"To show our support of the young people in our community, anyone 18-years-old and under can run or walk for FREE." said Davis.

A $20 entry fee for adults and a $15 fee for seniors 65 and older will be used to fund crisis intervention services for child victims. A variety of Cannon Runs t-shirts will be available for purchase at $15 each, including a new event shirt featuring a uniquely Cannon County illustration designed by local artist Chad Davis.

Registration starts at 6:45 a.m. at Dillon Park, welcome and instructions at 7:15 a.m., and the race begins at 7:30 a.m. Event registration is online at www.cannoncac.org. You may also register by contacting the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center at (615) 563-9915.

"Cannon Runs for Children gives the community a chance to come together and show child abuse victims how much they care," said Davis. "Plus, it's a fun event for the whole family--and with kids 18 and under participating for free--it's affordable, too!"

For more information about the event, please call the Cannon County Child Advocacy Center at (615) 563-9915.
