Cannon County offers a lot of Outdoor Fall Fun

"Different Strokes for Different Folks" is an ole wives tale many have grown up with for generations. This saying will fit during the next few weeks as 'fall' is ushered in when the leaves begin to gain color and decorate the hillsides of Cannon County.

Middle TN Mule Skinners will celebrate the 'fall' season with their Annual Fall Wagon Train. Many wagons and campers will set up at the Fairgrounds in town beginning Wednesday September 21 in preparation of the three-day wagon train.

During these three days, September 22, 23 & 24th the wagons will leave town at 9am and travel throughout the county to show off it's beauty.

Those especially enjoying the Cannon County Wagon Train is visitors from around Tennessee who make this event a regular on their calendar each year.

Grady George, Jr will serve as the official wagon master and works out just the perfect route for visitors. Participating in the wagon train is free to anyone and all are welcome.

Be sure and look for the wagon train to exit and enter town on these three days. Visitors always brag they enjoy coming to Cannon County because everyone makes them feel so welcome - what a compliment to our community.

Saturday October 29th the Cannon County Walking Horse Assoc. opens the campground and acreage to the public for their Annual Halloween Ride.

Whether you enjoy sitting atop Grandpa's horse, eating a snack on the trail, playing in the creek, family time or camping this is the place to be on the 29th of October.

A full agenda is planned for the day with trail ride at 11am from the campground; meal 4pm to 6pm; Trick or Treating at 6pm; dance and band at 8pm hosted by Thunder Hill of Shelbyville.

Just when one thinks this sounds great, the association also allows camping and riding for the entire weekend. All of this wrapped into a $10 fee per person.

There is a lot planned over the next few weeks offering everyone the chance to get out and enjoy the beauty of our home - Cannon County.
