After two miles the the creek drops over a 17 ft water fall and disappears under a huge cavernous amphitheater. Two miles further Virgin Falls cascades 70 ft out of the side of the plateau and disappears underground.

Virgin Falls Pocket Wilderness is part of the Scotts Gulf Natural Area that surrounds the Upper Caney Fork watershed.

Hikers include: Kim and Will Parsley, Matt Jernigan, Charles Steeleman, Kelly Norton, Nathan Hughes, Dorothy Todd, Cody Collins, Doug King and Marc Larson.
