Cannon County Crime Report for 11-04-2009



Following are the latest arrest and incident reports as recorded by the Woodbury Police Department and the Cannon County Sheriff's Department. Readers are advised that an allegation or report of a crime does not necessarily constitute a crime, or that one took place. All persons accused of crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Woodbury Police Department Incident Reports

10/09/09 — Thomas Coleman was charged with driving on a suspended license 1st offense.

10/26/09 — Courtne Elrod was charged with theft from the Quick Stop.

10/28/09 — Ronald Nelson Williams was charged with operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license.

Cannon County Sheriff's Department Incident Reports

10/27/09 — Robert Gary Foster was arrested for domestic assault after narrowly missing his ex with a 20-oz soda bottle (said to be empty by Mr. Foster but half full by Mrs. Foster). An order of protection was also served on Mr. Foster after he was released on bond.

10/27/09 — James Brady Lynch was arrested for Violating an Order of Protection after assaulting Alyssa Coleman and vandalizing her and Shannon Stembridge's vehicles outside their home. Mr. Lynch was uncooperative and insulting with deputies. He was also charged with Domestic Assault, Vandalism Over $500 and Vandalism under $500.

10/28/09 — Investigating an unrelated incident on Jim Cummings Hwy., dispatch discovered that John Floyd had sustained significant injury (a cut needing stitches) while suffering a seizure. Mr. Floyd was taken to the hospital for treatment.

10/28/09 — Tammy Rippetoe and Ricky Arnold got into an argument and a deputy was dispatched to respond. Neither party was physically assaulted.

10/29/09 — Russell Johnson reported a possible burglary at 4560 Porterfield Rd. A dark Mustang was parked in the driveway and two males walked back to the car while a driver waited. The property has been unoccupied for some time. Mr. Johnson was unable to collect the tag number as the Mustang sped off quickly.

10/29/2009 — Michelle Fraizer requested police escort to retrieve a car whose ownership was disputed by her and her ex. Ms. Fraizer had a newly acquired tag and registration listing herself as sole owner. The Clerk's office then called and said the new tag and registration were issued in error. Deputies retrieved the new tag and registration and advised the couple to sort out ownership of the car themselves.

10/29/09 — Ruth David alleged in a report that the Suncrest Private Duty worker who came to her home, Heather Wilson, had been stealing various items from her and other elderly people she works with.

10/29/09 — A warrant was served on Timothy Michael Young for Violation of Probation.

10/29/09 — Deputies were dispatched in response to a possible attempted suicide. The situation was resolved and the person in question is seeking treatment. Names withheld.

10/30/09 — A warrant was issued for phone harassment on Freddy Hernandez after he repeatedly called members of the Stone family demanding money he thought was owed and after being warned by police to discontinue these calls.

10/27-11/1 — Mr. Hankins reported an expensive Grasshopper 60" zero turn lawnmower was stolen from his property on Duggin Lane. Mickey Sanders is alleged to have stolen the mower to pay off drug debts.

10/30/09 — A Nissan SL2 was stolen from Murfreesboro and set afire at 2399 Hurricane Creek Rd. The fire spread to a nearby Winnebago and an out building. An olive drab Ford pickup was spotted on the property around this time and the property owner contributed video surveillance footage to the investigation.

10/30/09 — A warrant was served on Aubrey Sanders for violation of probation.

10/31/09 — Jimmy Mears reported his Chevy S-15 was broken into and his .22 Ruger rifle was stolen.

10/31/09 — Victoria Shelar called the Sheriff's Office after her tenet Gerry Sheffelmaier threatened to come into her house and take some of her property. The items in question are of disputed ownership. Officers advised Sheffelmaier to vacate the residence and for the two of them to settle the matter of the property themselves or to seek action in civil court.

11/2/09 — George Wells reported checks stolen from his business account.

11/3/09 — Newton Robinson reported an 87 red Mazda B 2000 truck was taken from his home.
