Cannon County CAB Meeting Thursday

The Cannon County CAB (Community Advisory Board) is having a planning meeting for the upcoming Teen Mother Baby Shower with Jessica Tucker from DCS. The meeting will be this Thursday at 5pm in the fellowship hall of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The shower is scheduled for Sunday Aug 24th at 2pm at the Woodbury Lions Club. The mothers will receive information on mothering and social services available as well as materials and supplies needed to raise their baby. The shower last year was able to help 14 Teen Moms.

 So far this year we have 4 referrals. Let us know if you know of a teen mother, or future teen mother who you would like to refer to attend the shower.

Also we are in need of volunteers, donations and supplies. If you, your church, or organization would like to assist in some way, please attend this planning meeting or call 615-796-7020 for more information.
