Lions Club Pecan Sale
The Woodbury Lions Club has kicked off its annual Pecan Sale. For sale this year will be Pecan Halves, English Walnuts, Fruit and Nut Mix and Cashews. Again this year, the Lions have found the very best products available. Lion Clyde Bush, chairman of the sale, said he was able to secure this year's crop of pecans, which is the best crop of several years. The nuts are available at Jennings Jewelers, Vance Brothers car lot, Farmer's Co-op, Rite-Aid Pharmacy, Cannon Senior Citizen Center, Dr. Trea Wessel's office, First Bank, Paul Reed Furniture Store, First National Bank, Stones River Hospital, Regions Bank, Woodbury Funeral Home, Woodbury Nursing Center, Woodson's Pharmacy, Cutting Edge Salon and from any Lions Club member. Ring and Sing, Thursday, Dec. 5
Come sing and ring in the Christmas season at Simmons Chapel, 3295 Hollow Springs Road, at 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5. Mike Chilcutt and the Silver and Gold Band will provide special music.


Christmas Shopping Fest
The Short Mountain Trading Post will continue their Christmas Shopping Fest throughout December. All our craftspeople and the entire midway and Loft will
be stocked full of unique one-of-a-kind gifts and priced extremely reasonably. Savannah's Loft will continue with her big "everything on sale" andfree ornaments and candy!! On Saturdays, holiday cookies and hot cocoa and warm cider will be available. Enjoy our festive barn in all it's wonderland charm. Remember to bring family and friends and your cameras. My Way Christmas, Dec. 6 through 21
The Arts Center of Cannon County presents its 2013 Christmas Dinner with dinner prepared by the Blue Porch Restaurant. To make reservations call 563-2787 or visit the website at Presented Friday, Saturday and Sundays through Dec. 21.

Lions Club Day, Saturday, Dec. 7
Spend the day and enjoy yourself. A pancake breakfast with Santa begins at 7 a.m. at the Lions Club Building on Lehman Street. The Lions Club Christmas Parade starts at noon. The Lions Club Tour of Homes begins at 4 p.m. with tickets available at the Lions Club Building.


Auditions for two plays, set Dec. 8 and Dec. 10
Auditions for Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr. and The Secret Garden (children's roles) Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. and Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. Come prepared with 16 bars of music from the show or in the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. Auditions will also consist of cold readings from the script. Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr. is directed by Janine Morgan.
All roles available for ages 8-18. The Secret Garden is directed by Scarlett Turney. We are auditioning for one girl age 8-14 and one boy age 8-14.We will announce the adult auditions at a later date .


Christmas Gala, Friday, Dec. 13
The Christmas Gala sponsored by the Cannon County Senior Citizens Center, 609 Lehman St. Entertainment, fine dining, elegant table settings, silent auction and more.
