The seventh annual Cannon Blast 5K Run/Walk is set for Saturday, September 25, 2010 beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The event is the primary fundraiser for Cannon County Youth Dream. Money raised helps fund grants and scholarships for all seven Cannon County Schools.

CCYD is seeking sponsors for the race. Contact Paula Todd at ptodd@rocketmail.com for information.

The start and finish will be at the ARTS Center of Cannon County located at 1424 John Bragg Hwy.

The course will include Hwy. 70S (four lane highway), Cross the River Road, Old Murfreesboro Highway, and Mile Valley Road. If you live on these roads, come out and cheer the runners on.

The cost of the race is $20 per adult and $15 for anyone under 18 years of age. Early registration insures a goodie bag and t-shirt.
