Country Music Jam Session
Pocahontas Community Center
1st and 3rd Fridays
A country music jam sessions is set for the first and third Fridays of each month at the Pocahontas Community Center, 1441 Pocahontas Road, Morrison. Celebrate Recovery
A Christ-centered recovery program created to help people overcome any struggle in life meets Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place where people can be honest about real problems, real hurts, habits and hang-ups, and together experience free freedom and new life through God's love. On Tuesday, March 22, Celebrate Recovery will have a communion service to reflect on sacrifices made and to remind each other who we are, how we got here and why it matters. Celebration Place
Tuesday, March 15
Celebration Place, a free program for kids ages 5 through 6th grade, starts Tuesday, March 15, and meets at the same time and place as Celebrate Recovery. It runs along side the adult program to offer the whole family recovery and healing. Each evening, kids experience teaching though songs, friendship, videos and games about how Jesus gives us hope. Banks Cemetery Meeting
Sunday, March 20
The annual meeting for Banks Cemetery in DeKalb County will be held on Sunday, March 20 at 2 p.m. at Banks Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Financial information will be presented, trustees and officers will be elected, and other business will be discussed as necessary. Please make arrangements to remove old flowers from your family and love ones' graves since mowing season will soon begin. Auburn Elementary School is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, March 22nd from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the school gym. One donation could save up to three lives. You must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not have given blood in the past 56 days. There is no upper age limit. 3 hours of Darkness
First United Methodist Church Woodbury, will observe Good Friday March 25th with a prayer vigil from 12 noon until 3 pm, representing the 3 hours of darkness that fell across the land, during the time Jesus was dying on the cross. The church will be open for silent prayer and meditation, with someone continuously praying during this time. People are invited to enter the sanctuary in silence and reverence for those who are praying, and to reflect on the sacrifice of Christ. Everyone is welcome for this holy observance. Annual Waterfall Tour

March 19 - The 15th Annual Waterfall Tour by Friends of Edgar Evins State Park: Ride a school bus to selected waterfalls in the Middle TN area. This year we will visit the falls at Old Stone Fort State Park, Cascade Hollow Falls, near the George Dickle Distillery and Rutledge Falls. We will eat lunch at the Farmers Market Family Buffet in Manchester. Expect short walks on uneven ground. Cost is $15 per person, plus lunch. Reservations required.
