Cannon Arts Dance To Offer Free Lessons

Cannon Arts Dance To Offer Free Lessons

Erin Rehberg, director of Core Project, conducting dance workshop.
Santa's coming early to Woodbury, bringing  the gift of free dance lessons to children and adults alike. Cannon Arts Dance Studio, in conjunction with the Core Project of Chicago, will present two days of free lessons culminating with in studio performances both days.

When Erin Rehberg, Director of Core Project, suggested the idea of a dance outreach, Lori Christensen, owner of Cannon Arts Dance, seized upon the idea.

Christensen was searching for a way to involve students who might not be able to participate in dance classes on a regular basis and the two-day workshop seemed like a wonderful opportunity.

The Core Project is a professional  dance company committed to community outreach for the purpose of empowering communities through arts education.

So if you or your children have ever wanted to try a dance class, now is the time to do it without a commitment. A nominal donation of $5 at the door is suggested, but not mandatory, as Core Project is trying to raise money for their upcoming winter tour.

The following is a breakdown of each day's activities. If you plan to attend, wear loose comfortable clothing. Bare feet  or tennis shoes ok. The Classes for young children begin immediately after the Christmas Parade on Dec 3!
