On Saturday, January 30th at 2 p.m. all kinds of dancing feet featuring everything from pink satin ballet shoes to bare toes will trip the light fantastic at Cannon Arts Dance Studio's first formal recital, Here Comes the Sun.

Tutus, sequins and feathers will adorn the stage of the Arts Center of Cannon County as young dancers twirl and tap to a variety of rhythms. For many students it will be their first recital, as young ballerinas will be turning on their toes in front of proud grandmas and nervous moms.

A tribute to Michael Jackson will also be featured, culminating with an elaborate staging of Thriller. Offerings from Heritage Dance Company and the Jr. Conservatory will spotlight contemporary works, while our new musical theater and tap classes will supply a touch of Broadway.

The public is invited to support this special community event, a production which studio owner, Lori Christensen, or Ms California, hopes will become an annual affair. Other Cannon Arts instructors include Lance Chandler, Alicia Bognano, Sheree Fann, Kaleena DeVar, Kathryn Turney, John Basinger, and Michael Land.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children and will be available at the door. So mark your calendars for Saturday, January 30 at 2 p.m., The Arts Center of Cannon County, 1424 John Bragg Hwy, Woodbury, TN. For further information please call Cannon Arts Dance Studio@563-9122 (please do not call the Arts Center for tickets)
