Brenda Joyce McBride Pickett

Brenda Joyce McBride Pickett, 62, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011 at Stones River Hospital following a sudden illness.

A native of Cannon County and resident of Woodbury, she was a federal bookkeeper with the Cannon County Board of Education and a member of the Lakewood Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James O. and Joyce Bush McBride.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Pickett of Woodbury; daughter, Alicia Joy Pickett of Woodbury; five step-children, Tracey West, Charlotte Bates, Bobbi Deberry, Ralph Pickett, Jr. and Lisa Holman; sister, Judy (Wade) Campbell of Woodbury; brother, Jimmy (Janet) McBride of Murfreesboro; special aunt, Imogene Rogers of Woodbury; eight step-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.

Funeral services will be held at Lakewood Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 24 with Bro. Wade Campbell officiating. Burial will be in King Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 23 at Woodbury Funeral Home and from noon Saturday until time of service at Lakewood Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakewood Baptist Building Fund.
