Borren Gives RIF A Lift At Woodbury Head Start

Borren Gives RIF A Lift At Woodbury Head Start
During the Reading Is Fundamental two week Reading Challenge, Sydney Borren, a student at Cannon County High School, volunteered her time to read and interact with the children at Woodbury Head Start.

Sydney read the book "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss to the students. The children learned about Dr. Seuss and enjoyed his rhythmic writing skills.

Research shows that children who are read to on a daily basis become better readers and perform better academically.

Studies also show a correlation between community educational involvement and children's academic performance.

Woodbury Head Start staff, parents and children would like to express its deep appreciation to Sydney for donating her time and talent.
