Bobby Joe Blanton

Bobby Joe Blanton, 75, passed away Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at Stones River Hospital E/R.  He was a native of Cannon Co.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Imogene Haynie Blanton of Woodbury; Children: Ronald, Terry (Dana Buchholz) and Gary (Lisa) Blanton, Sandra (Mike) Jones all of Woodbury; Grandchildren:  Rachel (Blake) Richardson, Brittney (Dustin) Parton, Shyenne, Megan, Hunter, Luke & Taylor Blanton, Bo & Brady Bryson;Great Grandchildren:  Ellie Rae Chapman, Case Richardson & Bristol Parton; Siblings:  Oakley Blanton, Jimmy Ray (Carolyn) Blanton, Arnetta Carrick, Gladys Hibdon (Larry Tucker) all of Woodbury & Melba (Leo) Jacobs of Centertown and Uncle & Aunt, Mershel & Sue Blanton of Woodbury.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Inez Bell Blanton, Siblings, Janice, Lanice & Vanice Blanton and granddaughter, Hannah Blanton.

Mr. Blanton was a member of the Centerhill Baptist Church, and was retired from Carrier after 29 years. Bobby Joe loved to be on the farm where he grew up and lived.  You would see him and his dogs sitting at the barn as you passed by and he would wave.  He loved mowing the yard and watching sports. 

Graveside services will be 1 pm Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 at Centerhill Cemetery with Bro. Greg Mitchell officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, September 08, 2014.
