Mr. Bill Higgins, 71, of Auburntown died September 21, 2011. He was born on November 3, 1939 in Cannon County, TN. His parents were the late Grady Higgins and Harlie (Newby) Higgins.
 
He is survived by his wife Drunell (Francis) Higgins of Auburntown; sons, John & Marna Higgins of Auburntown, Jason Higgins of Murfreesboro; daughter, Ann & Bruce Haley of Murfreesboro; sisters, Carolyn Witty of Athens, AL and Cathy Hargrove of Woodbury; special nephew, Brent Hargrove; daughter-in-law, Angela Higgins; grandchildren, Andy Higgins, Allison Higgins, Amelia Higgins, Isaac Haley, Lytton Haley, Abram Higgins and Ana Higgins.
 
Mr. Higgins was a member of the Woodbury First Baptist Church. He was a truck driver and farmer. He enjoyed bird watching and flower gardening.
 
Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Woodbury First Baptist Church on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 2 PM. Rev. Hunter Hay and Dr. Richard Bray will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
