Betty Sue Sullens, age 86, passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at her residence in Woodbury.

She was a member of the Short Mountain United Methodist Church. She was retired from Carrier and a homemaker.

Ms. Sullens was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Brown Sullens; parents, Roy and Allie Mae Grizzle Hale; brothers, Walter Hale and Joe Swan Hale; sisters, Oleta Taylor and Virginia Wood.

She is survived by her children, Jonell and her husband JM Bratcher of Woodbury, Peggy and her husband Donnie Scott of McMinnville, Regina and her husband Pete Sadler of Dearborn, Michigan, Frank and his wife Darlene Sullens of Morrison; Grandchildren, Jason and Joel Bratcher, Corey and Joan Sadler, Leslie and Jon Martin, Jenna Sullens, Josh Winfree, Brian Scott and Cody Sullens; 4 Great-grandchildren; Sister-in-law, Henrietta Hale. Several nieces and newphews also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 2 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel in Smithville with Bro. Bratten Tucker and Bro. Royce Martin officiating with burial to follow at DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
