Betty Lee Carter

Betty Lee Carter, 92, of Murfreesboro passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse B. Carter and Bina McBroom Carter and her sister, Mary Pearl Carter Moore. Betty retired after 40 years with the United States Court, the last 20 she was secretary to Chief Judge Harry Phillips of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was active many in two needlework guilds in Nashville.

Graveside services will be 12:30 pm Monday, March 14, 2016 at Riverside Cemetery with Bro. Herb Alsup officiaiting. Visitation with the family will be from 10 am until 12 noon Monday at Woodbury Funeral Home, 615-563-2311 or www.woodburyfuneralhome.net
