David Allen Bedwell, 400 Porterfield Rd., Readyville, was charged with Evading Arrest on April 16 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Sgt. Randy Neal. Bedwell allegedly fled from Sgt. Neal and Deputy Steve McMillen when they drove into his driveway. The officers were there to serve Bedwell with a Violation Of Probation warrant. Bedwell’s total bond for both charges was set at $13,000. He has a court date of April 24.
Bedwell, who is on probation following a conviction for Theft and Perjury in 2010, has allegedly committed violations by failing to report to his probation officer, submitting to random drug screens and paying court costs, fines and supervision fees.
• Peter Jerome Joyce, 2909 Holly Grove Ct., Lascassas, was charged with Forgery and Criminal Simulation on April 3 by Woodbury Police Sgt. Lowell Womack. An investigation conducted by Sgt. Womack uncovered evidence that on or about March 19, Joyce allegedly made out and cashed a check to himself at 1st Stop Market without the authorization of the check’s owner. Total bond was set at $6,000. Initial court date is May 17.
• Joseph Blair, 1157 Manustown Road, Woodbury, was charged with Child Abuse on April 11 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Investigator Anthony Young. An investigation revealed that Blair’s child, age 5, had bruising about his face and neck in the form of a hand print. Bond was set at $5,000. Initial court date is June 5.
• Traie Dillen McBratnie, 201 Prater Rd., Woodbury, was charged with violation of the 18-20 Underage Consumption law on April 10 by Woodbury Patrolman and School Resource Officer John House. McBratnie allegedly left Cannon County High School and consumed beer and then returned to school. He had a strong odor of alcohol about his person and admitted to drinking one beer. A release citation was issued. Initial court date is May 15.
