Cannon County’s home District 8-AA games tonight with Upperman have been postponed to a later date as snow continued to fall across Cannon County Friday morning, putting another blanket on top of what was already covering the ground.

Cannon County vs Upperman has been re-scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 16th at 6:30 at CCHS.

Also, the benefit for Jimmy Young that was scheduled at Hollow Springs Community Church for Saturday night has been temporarily canceled due to the inclement weather.

One inch of total snowfall accumulation was reported across the County by the Cannon County Sheriff's Department Thursday.

Dangerous road conditions continued all across middle Tennessee this morning. Wind Chill Advisory in effect.

Due to the Arctic air mass moving into the mid state moisture that remains on the Road surfaces has turned to ice. Black ice... which is ice that one cannot see... will be present on many Road surfaces and can cause you to lose control of your vehicle.

Motorists are strongly urged to use extreme caution if traveling across any portion of middle TN. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Also... expect wind chill readings to be between near zero to around 5 degrees below zero through the mid morning hours. Another Wind Chill Advisory will likely be issued for Friday night as well.

Please take precautions to protect life and property from the bitter cold.
