Barn Burglary Reported To Sheriff’s Department



The burglary of a barn and an out building was reported to the Cannon County Sheriff’s Department was reported on Dec. 7.

Sgt. Anthony Young took the report from Stacey Llanes at 1030 Manustown Road.

Llanes stated someone had broken inter her barn and out building.

Items reported as missing included a Schwinn bicycle, Honda water pump, Stanley tool box, various tools, a Quicksilver Mig-Welder, a Homelite chainsaw and a Makita concrete saw with diamond blade. Total value of the items taken is $1775.

• Deputy Matthew Parsley was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Hwy. 70S (McMinnville Highway) on Dec. 5. Upon arrival he spoke with Clint Jordon, operator of a green Infinity, who said he fell asleep and lost control of his vehicle, causing it to strike a rock embankment. Prior to Deputy Parsley’s arrival, Jordan contacted Smith’s Towing for retrieval of the vehicle.

• Sheriff Darrell Young, Detective James Davis, Sgt. Anthony Young and deputies Eric Moss and Randy Neal went to 5962 Pleasant View Road on Dec. 8 at approximately 3:50 p.m. and served Christopher Paul Lefever with arrests warrants for failure to appear and violation of probation. Lefever was taken into custody and transported to the Cannon County Jail where he was turned over to booking. Bond was set at $79,000. He was appointed an attorney in Cannon County General Sessions Court on Dec. 14 and will appear in court again on Jan. 18.

• Deputy Eric Moss, Detective James Davis and Deputy Randy Neal went to 1557 Tassey Road on Dec. 9 at approximately 12:05 p.m. and served Justin Todd with an arrest warrant for Capias. Todd was transported to the Cannon County Jail were he was turned over to booking. Bond was set at $5,000. He was appointed an attorney in Cannon County General Sessions Court on Dec. 14 and will appear in court again on Jan. 11.
