Baby J's the boss at new laundry

Baby Jayden’s the boss when it comes to J’s Laundry Express operated by Eden and Erin Fann.

The new business is located on West Main Street in Woodbury just across the street from Chilango’s Mexican Restaurant.

Opening the laundry was Erin’s idea.

“I started thinking about it when I was 7 months pregnant,” Erin laughed. “I mentioned it to Eden and she thought it was a great idea.”

The sisters quickly reached a consensus on the laundry’s name..

Baby Jayden rules the roost.

“We’ve always called her Baby J,” she explained. Naming the laundry in her honor came naturally. 

Opening the new laundry/ laudromat was a logical step for the Fann sisters. Their family’s among Woodbury’s busiest and helped expedite the project.

Their mother is Kim Fann, part owner of Joe’s Restaurant. Their grand-parents are Jimmy and Connie Higgins of Moonlight Drive-in Theater fame.

Ron Bess of Bess Construction handled the revamping of the laundry building.

“We painted inside and out and all the equipment is new,” said sister Eden Fann.

“We are offering lots of new services, including wash and fold, dry cleaning, alternations and tuxedo rentals,” Eden said.

In addition, J’s Laundry is offering a number of weekly specials like “Free Soap Saturday” and “We Wash Wednesday,” where customers can take advantage of the wash and fold services and receive a 20 percent discount.

On Tuesdays, all senior citizens will receive 10 percent off any service they purchase.

Service hours are 8 to 6 Monday through Saturday and from 9 to 3 on Sundays.
Laundromat hours are 8-10 Monday through Saturday and from 9 to 9 on Sunday.
