A local woman is missing her TV, and authorities are tuned in on two of her relatives as possible suspects.
Deputy Steve McMillen responded to 402 Blair Branch Rd. on April 22 following a report of a theft. On arrival he spoke with Joyce Hale, who stated that someone had taken her flat screen TV. She went on to say she had last seen the TV that morning, then found it missing around 4 p.m. that same day.
Hale also stated her house had been broken into earlier in the week. She said she believed the person who broke in was her nephew, Chris Hale.
Doyle Hale, Joyce’s brother and also the father to Chris and Diane Hale, was also at the scene. Doyle advised Deputy McMillen that Chris and Diane had been at their mother’s house the same day visiting. Doyle stated that he spoke with Kathy Miller, their mother, who said that as Chris and Diane were leaving her house, she heard Chris tell Diane to drop him off before getting to Joyce’s house.
Doyle advised Deputy McMillen that he thinks Chris wanted Diane to get Joyce to go with her and get his clothes out of the trailer next to Joyce’s house, so that Chris could take the TV.
Doyle said that Chris and Diane were traveling in a blue Chevy Tracker that Diane’s mother had given to her. A BOLO was sent out for the vehicle. Deputy McMillen also contacted the 911 Call Center and had the serial number for the TV entered into NCIC.
