It was a "black Friday" event for lots of folks around here actually beginning for the old "die hards" late Thursday night. I chose to babysit rather than fight the crowd so Rylon Morrison and Alayna and Adrianna Reed spent the night here. Had a lot more fun
Now it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas as several of our folks have their decorations up even our town has placed the bows on the poles.
Kullon Patrick of Murfreesboro spent Friday night with the Reed girls.
Richard and Barbara Harris of Macon, GA arrived here Wednesday. After spending the night, I packed up and took off with them to Grandview, MO where we attended the beautiful December wedding of our niece, Lauren Burkhead to Jonathan Carver. We also enjoyed visiting with sister, Wanda Yule and other family members. It was a quick trip as we returned Monday (yesterday).
Monday night, the basketball teams traveled to Eastside to take on the Lady Tigers and Tigers. The Lady Knights and Knights were victorious. Tuesday night they hosted DeKalb West and one again placed wins under their belts. The Lady Cubs and Cubs of Woodbury Grammar will host our teams tonight (Thursday). Next week (or this week now), they will play in the annual Cancer Tournament at Woodbury Grammar.
Todd Turney and Tammy Swift are the first to be wished a happy birthday on the 5th. Stefanie Gaither, Austin Duggin and Travis Baines are next on the 7th. It was wa-a-a-ay back in 1967 when Connie Shirley became the bride of Paul Leyhew. The day was December 8th. Happy 45th
News is short as I wanted to get a little bit in before the trip. Have a great week.
