Thanks to all of you who came out and supported the first annual (?) All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast. It was a big success.

Three birthdays were celebrated recently. Family gathered in at our house on the 5th for DeAnna Reed's 49th. Her specialty dessert was some leftover valentine cake from the Happy Hearts Party! However, she did get Oreo Cheesecake Bars to go with that.

Following the pancake breakfast, she, Tim, Alyana and Adrianna met Mark, Vicky, Haley and Brett Walker and Jordan Blackburn for a birthday meal at Chaddars to celebrate some more.

Tollie Cantrell hit the 65 mark on the 10th. Wife, Barbara, surprised him (or tried to!) with a big bash Saturday.

It was also a fun day for Eli James celebrated his 2nd a little early. He turned 2 on the 13th but parents, Brandon and Abby with sister, Lily, hosted a big celebration Saturday at the Community Center.

Rylon Morrison spent Friday night with Ryan and Janna Womack. Following Kullon Patrick's Jr. Pro game in Murfreesboro Saturday, both boys spent the afternoon with us.

It was a special Valentine for Eric and Beth Saddler, Evan and Ella and Jared and Nikki Sadder, Isabella, Lexie, Jack David and Jake Thomas when father/grandfather, Dwight Saddler treated them to a meal at Texas Roadhouse Sunday, the 12th.

Spiritual candle light service was held Sunday evening the 22th at Auburn Baptist Church. There were testimonies, special music, recollections and fellowship meal. Their Christian heritage was celebrated as they lit candles in honor of their families and in memory of those whose legacy they work toward continuing.

Here is some Library News sent by Patrick Jaccobs: Auburn Elementary turned in outstanding results in our Third Annual Battle of the Books Program. In fact, they turned in their best results in the three year history of the program. Congratulations students!

New items are arriving at the library, 30 fiction books, 15 children/juvenile books, and 14 DVDs will be arriving at the library in the coming weeks

So stop by the Library and pick up a book/take/DVD that interests you and enjoy a time away from your cell phone. (That last is from me!)

Wanna know who's having birthdays this week? Well just read on. Randy Gipson and Mike James begin the celebrations when they age another year on the 23rd. Shane Swift has his the 25th. It's a busy day on the 26th when Kathy Davenport, Barbara Bobo Holley and Janet Tate all get their cake and ice cream. Finishing up the week and the month on the 28th are Ronnie Gaither, Peggy Seber Leach, Amber Fann, Katie Hancock and Keely Faith Brandon. Although there isn't a 29th this year, we'll still add Jan Kennedy Hall to this list. Happy birthday you all!

Happy anniversary to Roger and Shirley Turney who wed February 25, 1967.

News is sent in each Wednesday afternoon. If you have any you would like to see in the A'town column, please get it to me by noon each Wednesday. I will be happy to put it here.
