Don't' forget the "All-You-Can-Eat" Pancake Breakfast fundraiser sponsored by the Auburn Jr. Beta Club. It's happening at Auburn School THIS Saturday, February 11th between the hours of 7:00 and 10:00 a.m. Served with the pancakes are sausage, and coffee, orange juice or milk.

Prices are $7.00 for adult plates and $4.00 for ages 4-11. Free to 3 and under. This is to help members of the club raise money for their trip to the 2017 National Beta Convention taking place at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, FL.

So come on by the school this Saturday morning and enjoy some good eating, no cooking or washing dishes and you can wish the club's leader, DeAnna Reed, a happy birthday and she's supplying chocolate chips for anyone who likes chocolate!

How exciting! Tanner Larson and Marshall McReynolds are studying abroad this semester. Their destination? Greece. If you're a Facebook user, you can get a glimpse of their first day by going on Marshall's page. Beautiful scenery!

It was back on the high seas for Todd and Susan Turney aboard the Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Sea. Going with them were Ken and Scarlett Turney and Fred and Wanda Schaefer.

Another B-Team Tournament has closed out. Taking the cake were the Woodland girls and boys teams. Woodbury girls and Westside boys hold the 2nd place honors. Placing 3rd were the Short Mtn girls and the Eastside boys. Finishing out the placing for 4th were the Auburn girls and boys.

It was a special weekend for Prosperity Baptist Church. Saturday night it was the 15th annual Men's Cake Bake. Taking home the grand prize (or 1st place certificate) was Daniel Buterbaugh (with help from his boys, William and Grant) for his Strawberry Ice Box Cake. It really looked like an American flag! Taking 2nd honors was Ryan Womack for his peanut butter poke cake. Third place was a none other than a dirt cake made by farmer Nick Smith.

This event was followed with the Sunday morning services provided by the men who filled the choir and sang a beautiful special. Great testimonies were given by Bailey Hayes and Chris Blackburn.

That night The Gospel Aires from Murfreesboro brought the Evening Worship Service in song.

Members of Auburn Baptist Church ministered Sunday with residents of the Woodbury Nursing home.

It was approximately 15 years ago that Bro. Jerry Osborne came as pastor of Auburn Baptist Church. His last day to preach was Sunday the 29th. That night he and wife, Sandy, were given a "See you later" reception.

Our thoughts and prayers to Amanda Sissom Francis on the passing Monday the 30th of her grandmother, Patricia Sissom.

Emily Crook and Austin Mears begin our birthday list this week when they celebrate the 8th. Gregg Goff's is the 9th then it's Tollie Cantrell's on the 10th. The 11th is a special day for DeAnna Reed 9her 49th), Susan Turney and Deb Parks. Angeleena George turns 14 on the 13th and Patrick Thomas, Joe Kraft and Samuel Morris finish out the week on the 14th. Happy birthday to all of you and a reminder to all you guys out there, the 14th is also Valentine's Day!

February 12th is a popular day for 3 couples. In the year of 1965 Stan and Jan Dobson were wed. Fast forward to 1977 the year Mark and Karen Stinnett said their "I do's." Then in 1994 it was Mark and April Melton's turn. Happy anniversary to all 3 couples.
