Thursday the Recycled Teenagers from Auburn Baptist enjoyed a fall outing to Bell Buckle. After a nice lunch at the café, the group enjoyed some antiquing around the square and a stop at the ice cream shop. Those in attendance were Janice Fletcher, Joyce Dutton, JC and Joan Hughes, Shirley Mingle, Bro. Paul and Cheryl Fries, Ernest and Rita Davis, Bro. Jerry and Sandy Osborne, and Paul and Connie Leyhew. Everyone was ready for a trip as it had been a while because the van was in the shop, but they are road-ready now!

Sunday, Betty Thomas, Brad and Stefanie Leach, Samantha and Madison and Robbie Owen made a trip to Antioch where they thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Lilyan Adora Bennett. Oh yeah and Aaron and Michelle Bennett were there also!!

It was a mini-reunion for members of the class of 1958 along with some visitors. Wanda Harris Yule of Peculiar, MO, Mary Jones Kelly and Pat Murphy of Crossville, Martha King Taylor, Ellen King Smithson, Lytle and Helen Tenpenny, Hazel Jones and myself enjoyed the good lunch at Demo's and the catching-up.

Saturday was a great night for a bonfire and wiener roast and that's just what we did. Joining Wanda, P-pa and myself were Bethany, Rylon and Amaieah Morrison, Kyle, Kullon and Shiloh Patrick, William and Grant Buterbaugh, Tim, DeAnna, Alayna and Adrianna Reed, and Janna and Ryan Womack. The night was complete when the S'mores were dripping.

Sunday afternoon, Wanda, P-pa and I enjoyed the great performance of Tom Duggin in the "Elvis Tribute" at the Cannon Co. Arts Center. We then enjoyed a meal at Chilango's.

Tuesday Wanda returned home but not before enjoying a supper at Sunset Grill in Lebanon on Monday and a delicious breakfast prepared by Hallean Tate at Jimbo's Tuesday morning.

Congratulations to Hannah Whited who placed 2nd in the Regional Cross Country competition held last week in Cookeville.

Would you like to enjoy some good fish and chicken along with the delicious fixin's? Well come to the A'town Community Center THIS Wednesday between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Adult plates are $8. It's $4 for ages 5-10 and free for 4 and under. You won't have to cook or wash dishes and you can enjoy good conversation if eating in but if that's not your thing, then take-outs are available. Tim Reed is the head chef. This fundraiser is for the Jr. Beta Club to help them attend the state convention in Nashville. If you have any questions, call 615-464-4342.

The 5th of November is a big day for Rita Daivs, Mark Duggin, Ricky Scott and Sheila Williams (her 57th). It's the 14th for Anna Leach on the 6th. Twins JC and JB Hughes celebrate 7th along with quads Erin, Kristen, Garrett and Marshall McReynolds. Happy birthday to all of you.

Not only is the 5th Ricky Scott's birthday but to make sure he remembered their anniversary, wife Teresa married him 33 years ago on that same day. Wise decision Teresa! Happy anniversary.

FYI: I send the news in each Wednesday afternoon. If you have any you would like to see in the A'town column, please get it to me by noon each Wednesday. I will be happy to put it here. Please e-mail me at apatrick@dtccom.net, or call 464-4310 and leave a message.
