The Recycled Teen's from Auburn Baptist enjoyed lunch at the Readyville Mill followed by some antiquing on the square of Woodbury Friday the 17th. The real adventure was the ride home. The driver, Janice Fletcher, took them on every back road and pig path she could find off Doolittle road, AND it was mentioned that the air conditioner went out on the van so the crew was also treated to a free sauna treatment!

Those sharing the fun were Paul Leyhew, a brave soul as he was the only guy in the mix, Shirley Mingle, Joyce Mingle, Sandy Osborne, Hallean Tate, Connie Leyhew and the afore mentioned driver Janice Fletcher. To say "a good time was had by all" is an understatement.

The 17th was the day that Jerry and Beverly Bryan became grandparents for the 7th time. Noah Allen Wilson weighed in at 7 lbs., 5 oz. There will be plenty of good help when he joins sisters, Allie and Maya and brothers, Elijah and Isaiah. Parents are Nick and Leah Wilson and great grandparents are Gene and Wilma Harris. Congratulations to all of you.

It was a "Sassy Sisters" party hosted at and by homeowner, Regan Vaughn in Lascassas. Lots of "locals" from here enjoyed getting together and "dressing up".

She turned 8 on the 18th and was treated to a birthday party at her home. Ella Saddler enjoyed lots of family gathering in to help her celebrate this event which was hosted by parents, Eric and Beth and brother, Evan.

Saturday night, it was "Finding Dory" for a lot of our crew. Tim, DeAnna, Alayna and Adrianna Reed, Rachel Dorris (an "adopted" member), Kyle, Shannon, Kullon and Shiloh Patrick, Dustin and Ashley Patrick and I gathered together for a good time. Really my favorite was the buttered popcorn!

Amanda, Allison and Waylon Francis came by to chat before settling in for the big show.

Congrats to our volunteer fire department. They were among those who were honored by the Wilson County Commissioners Monday night for the Memorial Day Clever Creek fire.

The department is sponsoring a "4th of July Block Party". Hot dogs and waters are provided for this event. Add your chips or side dishes, desserts and drinks and come join the Auburntown Volunteer Fire Department in celebrating Independence Day. The food is available from 12 noon until 4:00 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled when it's dark enough.

Lots of fathers were honored Sunday. John Whited received a special "gift" when daughter, Hannah, was baptized at Woodbury First Baptist Church.

Betty and Terry Thomas spent the weekend with son, Patrick, of Cedar Grove. They made the rounds with him at the horse shows.

It was off to 4-H camp for Kiley Hughes and parents, Derrick and C.J. It was held last week in Crossville at the Clyde M. York 4-H Center. Congratulations to Kiley who was selected as a Companion Animals Delegate to the 2016 4-H Academic Conference.

Now it's time for birthdays and beginning our list on the last day of June are Sarah Beth Sandes, Leslie Lee and Daxton Patrick. The 1st day of July is being celebrated by Teresa Morris, artha Robinson and Ann Toombs. Nathan Hollandsworth and Eric Stinnett add a year on the 2nd. Getting to celebrate with fireworks on the 4th are Carlene McCullough and Paula Leach. The list ends on the 5th when Brent Griffith and Will Bailey get to celebrate. Happy birthday you all.

Jack and Kathy Hays celebrate their 42nd anniversary the same day that Ralph and Joyce Coe celebrate their 58th which is on the 29th. The 1st day of July is when Jason and Tanya Whited and Russell and Lisa Vickers celebrate and it's the 21st for both couples. Bobby and Brenda Francis wind up the anniversary list on the 5th when they put 48 years of wedded bliss behind them. Happy days to each couple.
